If I were ever asked,

to paint a picture of you,

I'd say,

The smell of the
winter air is yours,
your skin holding
the setting sun's flame,
cheeks tinted in a shade
of roses and tulips.
Calling your eyes 
simply brown,

would be mundane,

it's like seeing sunlight
through a bottle of whiskey,
and they're just as captivating
as your smile.
Your raven hair 
trails to cascade,
like vines down the
side of your face,
your fingers waltzing

against my arms, soft yet electric.
Your love is like the thorns
that cut my skin,
piece by piece 
and inch by inch,
you're the autumn who
slowly kills my summer with a kiss.
The night is the darkness
of your mind,
the morning light is the
hope you wake up with,
you're the blue 
that resembles the skies,
you're the longing
that fills my chest 
and reflects in my eyes.
