Rose🌹

You were so much,

like a rose,
beautiful to look at,
even more artistic as you bloomed.
The way your nature unfolded,
just the way a petal unfolds,
you swept me off my feet,
and I became intoxicated, 
on your perfume.
You looked like,
a piece of art,
surrounded by the dewy leaves,
dancing with the wind so well,
almost as if it loved you too.
You looked so heavenly,

that your thorns

almost made my heart bleed,

in sadness,
as I remembered the promise I made you.
I promised you,
each night that I'd let you go,
but by the time,
dawn's early light hit my window,
I'd only love you more.
