Why It's Called "Falling In Love.."💔

Ever wondered why it's called 'falling in love',
when you say that to me looking as peaceful as a dove?
Everyone falls once in their life and gets injured,
that's exactly what happens when one falls in love, I whispered.

Hearts shattered into thousands of pieces,
just as i think about you, the pain increases.
Unable to move on with life without you,
I try to finish my life, to gulp the pain that you put me through.

Crying all night,
pleading to have you in my sight.
Why is it so hard to let go?
I think, pacing to and fro.

What's that something in you that I see?
Why can't we be like how we used to be?
Doesn't it hurt a bit?
Didn't you ever feel the pain after we split?

How amazing it used to feel,
with you sitting beside me, your eyes filled with zeal.
how unforgettable moments that we share,
left your mind as if they were never there?

How good your arms felt around me,
I wish I could show you what I see.
I saw the good in your darkness,
and all you did was to make my life turn upside down and heartless.

The people were right,
the girl and the shark must stay apart.
I fought my urge to fight,
even when you broke my frail heart.

I really wish I could turn back time,
to those good old days.
Being this cute should be a crime,
you make my heart skip a beat in many ways.

Even though I know we wouldn't be what we were,
but if I could make that happen, that's what I'd prefer.
I never thought why it is called 'falling in love' till now,
even if my heart was ready for it again, my mind would never allow.
