My version of a Splendid Night..
My version of a splendid night...๐
The sky overcast,
Lit by the moonlight.
Winds blowing fast,
I was sitting by the riverbank, looking at the sight.
The moon light was reflected,
By the still river.
I felt so connected,
The breeze making the branches of the tree quiver.
The moon seemed to be painted in shades of white,
Right between the sky shining so bright.
The trees seemed to enhance the beauty of the scene,
The time appeared to flash back to when I was fourteen.
The night felt like a major deja vu,
It reminded me of what I've been through.
The memories of my family felt nostalgic,
The place looked as if it had some kind of magic.
I sat there for long,
Looking at every single detail.
The link I felt with the place was very strong,
I caught the scent of water hitting the mud as I inhaled.
I folded my legs to sit in criss-cross position,
As I wondered about the nature's composition.
The nightingale sang it's harmonious voice,
And the fireflies flew across the river.
The birds appeared as though they were celebrating rejoice,
The gust of wind made me shiver.
I looked up at the sky,
And gazed at the constellations.
This was the kind of beauty that no-one could buy,
Sitting there, I felt calm and gained patience.
The place felt soothing,
And beyond alluring.
I might not be able to feel all these just through a picture,
I guess that's the beauty of nature.
